Je galerija, mapa, mikrosvet, bašta stvorena za eksperimentisanje i multimedijalno vizuelno istraživanje radova specifično napravljenih za internet prostor.

Njen pejzaž se stalno menja, uvek iznova (sa)zidan radovima mladih umetnica/ka u nastajanju. Ulaskom u ovaj pejzaž istražujete različite tačke gledišta u kojima se bavimo internet prostorom, komuniciramo sa njegovim interfejsima, gledamo i krećemo se kroz njega. Ali i kako smo oblikovani kroz ovaj ples sa tehnologijom. no-w-here.art je postavljena da podstakne kreativno i kritičko istraživanje o tome kako tehnologija može redefinisati odnos između posmatrača i umetnosti.

Svaki predstavljeni rad poprima drugačiji oblik. Neki su namenjeni da razbiju, a drugi da premoste granice sa URL-om, IRL ili AFK. Umesto da hodaju kroz fizičku galeriju, posetioci se kreću kroz dugmad na svojoj tastaturi, kroz klikove na mišu, možda čak i uz VR. Krećete se očima preko ekrana ili pažljivo slušate zvučni pejzaž koji se emituje sa njega. Ovi mali plesni pokreti sa tehnologijom skreću pažnju na specifikacije vašeg sopstvenog uređaja, proširuju vaš okvir uma i teraju vas da razmislite o odnosu sa svojim uređajima. Oni nas vraćaju u telo, dovode u svet i telesnoi-materijalni korpus tehnologije. Teraju nas da ponovo sagledamo odnos koji gradimo sa njom i kako to utiče na naš život.

Kao umetnički projekat preispituje ulogu, uticaj i domet umetnosti. Takođe traži od nas da preispitamo ideologije koje oblikuju svet umetnosti, kao što je koncept bele kocke, finansijski modeli koji vuku konce konceptualnih i kustoskih praksi, akademski i institucionalni načini angažovanja na umetničkoj sceni. Kako umetnost ima mnogo oblika i definicija, svako je za sebe definiše i praktikuje. Stoga je ona fluidna, ali stabilno i uzemljeno dešavanje onoga što se zbiva oko nas. Odraz, a opet mašta, aktivizam, poziv, protest, pogled u prošlost i budućnost, kritika i slavlje. Ili neka vrsta izlazne strategije iz trenutnih narativa koje želimo da ispišemo.

Imajući to na umu, no-w-here.art ima za cilj da unapredi istraživanja, eksperimente i neuspehe kako bi mogla da podstakne okruženje podučavanja, razmene i novih praksi za uspostavljanje veza, saradnje i mogućnosti za produkciju kako bi umetnice/i u nastajanju redefinisali umetnost u njihovom okruženju. Efemerne prirode, ova dela otkrivaju šta je umetnost, preispituju njene prostore stvaranja i izlaganja kao i kako je konzumiramo.

Ovaj mikrosvet proširuje se na ono što galerija i kustos jeste i mogu biti. Pretvaranje ovog prostora u eksperimentalno polje za kustoske i pedagoške poduhvate ima za cilj da podrži rast i razvoj kreativne produkcije od početka do kraja. Stoga se može posmatrati kao mikro hakiranje institucionalnih ideologija, uzurpacija koja se dešava unutar i izvan njih.

Možete se igrati sa njom, secirati, (re)kontekstualizovatii ili je videti u delovima, tražiti celinu, izgubiti se. Pozvani ste da prošetate ovim pejzažom u nastanku, klikćete, dodirujete, igrate, zumirate, tapkate, slušate, gledate i krećete se kroz njega stvarajući sopstvene narative.

Is a gallery, map, garden, micro world created for experimentation and creative making of site specific works made for the internet space.

Its landscape is ever changing, (re)built from artworks made by young emerging artists. Entering this landscape you are exploring different viewpoints in which we engage with the internet space, interact with its interfaces, gaze and move through it. But also how we are shaped through this dance with technology. no-w-here.art is set to encourage creative and critical investigation on how technology can redefine the relationship between a viewer and a piece of art.

Each work presented takes on a different form. Some are meant to break and others to bridge the boundaries with the URL, IRL or AFK. Rather than walking through a physical gallery, the viewer moves through the buttons on their keyboard or a mouse, maybe even a VR headset, you move with your eyes over the screen or carefully listen to the soundscape emitted from it. These little dance movements with technology are calling attention to your own device’s specifications, they expand your frame of mind and make you think about your relationship with your devices. They bring forth the sensation of the body, both ours and of technology and makes us revisit the relationship we build with it and how it impacts our lives.

As an art project it questions the arts role in it all, its impact and reach. It also asks us to question ideologies shaping the art world, such as the white cube concept, financial models pulling the strings of conceptual and curatorial approaches, academic and institutional ways of engaging with the art scene. As art takes many forms and definitions, we each envision it in our own way. So it is fluid yet firm happening of that what is happening around us. A reflection, yet an imagination, activism, a call, protest, glimpse into the past and future, a critique and a celebration. Or a sort of an exit strategy to the current narratives we seek to rewrite.

With that in mind no-w-here.art aims to push forward research, experiments and failure so it can foster an environment of (un)learning, exchange and new practices for establishing connections, collaborations and production opportunities for emerging artists to re-imagine the art in their surroundings. Ephemeral in nature these works seek what art is, question the spaces of making and exhibiting art as well as how we consume it.

This micro world expands on what gallery and curation is and can be. Turning this space into an experimental field for curatorial and pedagogical endeavours aims to support the growth and development of a creative production from beginning to end. Thus it can be seen as a micro hack of the institutional ideologies, a disruption happening both inside and outside of it.

Having multiple entry points like an URL link, QR code to a specific work, hyperlinked spaces and thoughts or no-w-here.art browser extension, navigating through its content takes on a form of a rhizomatic cyber walk. You can muddle with it, dissect it, (re)contextualize or see it in parts, seek the whole, go wild and get lost. You are invited to stroll this growing landscape, click, point, play, zoom, tap, listen, gaze and move through it creating your own narratives.
